Chevy Bolt EV Plant Ranks 8th among Green Power Users


The General Motors Orion Assembly plant that builds the Chevrolet Bolt EV ranks as the eighth largest user of green power generated onsite in the United States among the Environmental Protection Agency’s Green Power Partnership Partners. Over half of the plant is powered by methane captured from decomposing trash in a nearby landfill.

GM Invests $290 Million in Bowling Green Assembly


General Motors announced today it will invest $290 million into the Bowling Green Assembly plant to upgrade and modify the plant’s vehicle assembly operations with new technologies and processes.

GM Invests Additional $788.7 Million in Spring Hill Manufacturing


General Motors will invest $788.7 million for an all-new, high-efficiency engine program, as well as projects to modernize the vehicle programs at its Spring Hill Manufacturing Plant, creating 792 and retaining 16 jobs. At the same time, GM announced a $118 million investment at its Bay City Powertrain facility, creating 29 and retaining 67 jobs.

Auction Winner Sees the First Retail Production CT6 Roll Off the Line at D-Ham


In April 2015, Ohio Dealer David Flynn paid $200,000 for the first retail production Cadillac CT6 as top bidder at the Barrett-Jackson Auction in Palm Beach, Fla. The auction benefitted the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute.

GM Invests $148 Million in Spring Hill Manufacturing


General Motors will invest $148 million to repurpose flexible machining and assembly equipment at its Spring Hill Manufacturing plant to build V8 engines to meet market demand, retaining approximately 200 jobs.
